Our company history in short: A growth story
Years of setting – 2002 to 2005
Moenchengladbach, shortly after the turn of millennium: A longtime experienced team for automotive sealing systems founded the project management office SPT. Soon the capacities are not sufficient anymore. All activities are displaced to a new facility in Viersen. The amount of employees was restocked and the first molds were put into operation. The decisive factor in this development is the acquisition of a series production of elastomer moldings for a major European automotive supplier as an extended workbench
Expansion – 2006 to 2012
The necessity on bigger construction- and manufacturing capacities, caused a second relocation.
SPT moved to a location in the business park Wegberg- Wildenrath. Now, the enterprise has enough space to split the two companies as SPT Production GmbH (main focus: injection molding) and SPT Sealing Projects & Tooling (main focus: mold making and notching). The takeover of further serial productions for international automotive suppliers is a renewed trust from the automotive industry. Specially tailored to a German automotive manufacturer of premium vehicles, the logistics will be restructured in 2012 on just-in-time direct deliveries to the line.
Growth boom – 2013 to today
The acquisition of further serial production makes the expansion of the existing production halls indispensable: they grow by 1,000 m². The modernized machine park includes already >2o injection presses with a clamping force of 30t – 1.000t and further automation equipment. The company premises at the Wegberg-Wildenrath business park have been completely available to SPT Production GmbH since the year 2015. Thanks to the freed capacities and the know-how gained in the automotive industry, it was high time to take the next step and extend the competence field also to other industries.
SPT Production GmbH has long established itself as a specialist for complete solutions for complex moldings. In addition to pure EPDM moldings in the form of seals, bumpers and grommets, we now also process other elastomers, TPE, 2K and multi-component parts with increasing degree of automation.
